Would you return to England to play county cricket? (from Romana, UK)
I very much enjoyed my time at Gloucestershire and if I receive another offer and if I am free I would love to go back and play for a county team.
Lots of questions to ask...but what's your favourite food? (from Shazia, UK)
As any regular visitor to my website knows it is my mother's biryani, I always miss that when I am away.
Salam, when did you start your cricket with Pakistan? Thanks (from S. Kuri, Paris, France)
I made my ODI debut in 1999.
Shoaib when is your birthday? (from Neelufer)
For some reason I get asked this a lot. It is March 7, 1982. I am a Pisces.
I think I am the biggest fan of yours and I don't know how much I love you. How about your ankle injury? Are you alright now? When are you coming to Bangladesh next time? (from Tahson, Dhaka, Bangladesh)
The ankle is now fine than you. I'm not sure when we visit Bangladesh again, maybe 2011.
Where do you live? Sialkot, Lahore or Karachi? (from Taneea & Fatima)
I live in Sialkot with family.
Don't you think you are a defensive captain instead of an agressive captain? (from Ash)
Captaincy always depends on the situation of the game. Sometimes you need to defend when other times you need to go on the attack.
Do you agree that cricket is becoming more batting-dominated? Ever wanted to be a Border or a Waugh instead? (from Ozzie Jim, UK)
My boyhood icon was Mark Waugh and I did want to be a batsman in those days. I agree with you about the pitches, the wickets all around the world now seem to favour the batsmen, even in Australia they are becoming flat and are normally bat-first wickets. This is probably the reason why there are more injuries for bowlers as there is a tendency to over-strain yourself pushing for that extra pace or assistance from the pitch. The best wickets for fast bowlers are probably in South Africa and you get zip on the English pitches.
Do you still consider yourself an all-rounder or just a batsman now? (from Adil Rahman)
An all-rounder, definitely.
Shoaib, when are you getting married? (from Sidra, Sialkot, Pakistan)
When my mother finds me someone suitable.
