Bigstar Players : Shoaib Malik : On The Spot

Hobbies: Playing snooker, listening to music, watching cricket.

Favour
ite Movie: Too Fast Too Furious. I like action films.

Favourite Movie Star(s): Kurt Russell and Van Diesel.

Favourite Music Act(s): Enrique and Michael Jackson.

Favourite Food: It has to be my mother’s Biryani. I miss it very much when I am on tour.
Favourite Drink: Banana milkshake.
Favourite Holiday Destination: I always enjoy going to Sharjah and Dubai, though I would be happy to stay in Sialkot. I love my home.
Favourite Ground: The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore because I have many good memories there.
Least Favourite Ground:  Has to be Sydney. Although it looks nice, I have unpleasant memories of that place because I played a very bad pull shot there against Brad Hogg in a one-day game that we lost (in 2005). It still gives me nightmares!
Most Memorable Match: The sixth one-day game at Delhi against India in 2005 when I scored 72, or when we beat South Africa in Lahore in 2003, as I scored 82 off not many (41 balls with six fours and as many sixes).
Match You Most Want to Forget: Against India at Karachi in 2004. It may have been a thrilling match to watch but to score 344 and lose by five runs was hard to take. I also played a poor shot.
Your Cricket Heroes: Wasim Akram, Inzamam-ul Haq and Ricky Ponting.
Favourite Non-Cricketing Sportsman:
Greatest Influence: My father, Malik Salim, because he encouraged me to play cricket seriously when I all I wanted to do as a youngster was fly my kite (or patang).
Toughest Opponent: Glenn McGrath because he’s always challenging and very accurate; Also, Makhaya Ntini because he always tries hard. If you hit him for four boundaries he will still come at you like a killer on that fifth ball. I like his attitude.
Best Friend in Cricket: Mohammed Yousuf.
Funniest Man in Cricket: Also Yousuf Youhana.
Funniest Man in the World: Jim Carrey.
Most Embarrassing Moment: In that Karachi match against India I played a terrible shot and I wanted to kill myself afterwards. I tried to play the ball through extra cover but hit it straight and was caught. It looked terrible.
If You Weren’t a Cricketer…: I would have a nice office job, maybe in the cargo industry that would include travelling.
